Hi, I’m Ryan!

I started Ryan’s Guitar Mod Shop out of a deep passion for guitar modifications, driven by a love of learning and a (perhaps slightly naive) attitude of “how hard can it be?” That curiosity and determination has provided me the amazing role of professional touring guitar tech, which has taken me across all corners of the globe. Working for legendary acts such as the likes of Loathe and Spiritbox.

When I’m not on the road, I’m in the workshop designing and making pickups. I love working with different players across different styles of music to create pickups that is exactly what they’re after. The idea for making my own pickups was birthed from a fascination for understanding how pickups work—quickly evolving into a deep dive into how each individual component shapes the overall sound of a guitar.

All pickups are handmade and designed to withstand the demands of the road, having been rigorously tested in the unrelenting world of touring.

I also run a YouTube channel under the name of “Rayn雨P”, where I get to make fun videos about guitar modding, touring, and in general get to explore my musical side as well!
